Marius van Zandwijk - Floral Hazard
Floral Hazard
In the exhibition Floral Hazard, Marius van Zandwijk shows new work that builds on his 2024 residency at the Akureyri Museum of Art in Iceland.
His work explores the intertwining of nature and culture. The starting point of this investigation are places where he feels this intertwining. Like lupine fields in Iceland.
He works with the same places for long periods of time. Visits them again and collects experiences, stories and materials over time. In doing so, he likes to get lost between personal experiences and more collective stories. As an “amateur phenomenologist,” he questions (his own) perception of that place.
Finnisage on Wednesday, February 26, from 17.00 drinks and around 17.30 introduction by Ben de Boer, theologian. Welcome!
