Quartz #4 | Arti Shuffle
Quartz #4 | Arti Shuffle
IDAHOTIQZ and Arti et Amicitiae present the fourth Quartz! on May 16 as part of Amsterdam 750! The program is again full of special guests and dazzling performances: at the talk show table we welcome writer Alejandra Ortiz, who talks about her life as a transgender refugee, and photographer Arjen Spannenburg who talks about his search for identity and self-expression. Special performances will include singer Naomi Antonius, Iranian non-binary artist Mani and Egyptian queer clown Stavros Kyrillos.
Arti et Amicitiae and IDAHOTIQZ
On May 17, the day homosexuality was removed as a disease in 1990, IDAHOT, the international day against gay and transphobia, came into being. IDAHOTIQZ's mission is to artfully promote a sense of community by and with the Queer community and to this end, since 2024, it has been organizing - together with Arti et Amicitiae - Quartz!, a fusion of dinner, talk show, live entertainment and visual art. Serious and moving, fraternizing and festive moments alternate in a full evening program in all colors of the rainbow.
Program
The evening starts at 7 p.m. with dinner. Starting at 8:00 p.m., you will be taken through a whirlwind fusion of a talk show and a musical and theatrical program. Your talk show hosts of the evening Don and Pia, will take you through fascinating conversations with their guests in their talk show. The common thread of the Quartz! evenings is emancipation within and with the LGBTQ+ community through dialogue and art, in the context of Amsterdam 750.
Bar
After the program, there will be an opportunity to continue talking with each other over drinks until midnight.
