BIG DADA | Dadaism in the age of Dataism

Interdisciplinary art event throughout the Arti et Amicitiae building.
Exhibition, Club Dada Soirées, film, interactive installations, performances, symposium, lectures, Art & Science Symposium and guided tours.

Big DaDa explores the role of art in a world driven by data and algorithms. 
At a time when technology influences our thinking and actions, Big DaDa offers a new perspective in response to the absurdity of the present. The event explores how creators respond to this digital reality of social media, bots and subversive information networks, and what strategies they use to resist systems based on assumptions. In other words: what does it mean to be human in the age of artificial intelligence?

We offer an extensive program on three Friday evenings, Club DaDa Soirees, aimed at young creators, regular visitors and professionals within digital culture. In collaboration with partners, these events offer space for exploration and experimentation. In addition, this year's Art & Science Symposium occupies a special place with hackers, scientists and artists.

For a wide audience, artists and art lovers with teasing performances. Host and guided tour by Dame DaDa | Slam Poetry Performance by Spitler and DJ.

Saturday 1 Nov | Amsterdam Museum Night | 7 p.m. - 2 a.m.
An impressive, eclectic programme of disruptive performances, installations, infectious encounters and music throughout the Arti building: on the façade, entrance, stairwell, seven exhibition rooms, club bar-restaurant and the ArtSpace on the ground floor.

Friday 7 Nov | Club DaDa #1 | Dirty Art Foundation (Sandberg Institute)
Students from the Sandberg Institute (Dirty Art) are organising their own Club DaDa; 
an experimental live programme with lots of performances, props and music: a stage for absurd, unpolished and rebellious expression.

A conversation with Pepijn Broersen, Margit Lukács and Dang-Vu Dang

Friday 14 Nov | Club DaDa #2 | 9 p.m. - midnight | Evening exhibition

Performers include alumni from Rietveld, KABK, Academy of Theatre and Dance AHK,

Tech and activism in art | in collaboration with ART AND SCIENCE forum and CCC Berlin.
