Kunstlievende Ledenborrel
The Art Lovers' Membership Drinks on 27 February will start at 6.15pm in the ArtSpace. There, visual artist Marius van Zandwijk will give a brief explanation of his exhibition. Then, at 6.30pm, the upstairs lecture will start.
The speaker this time is Karel Greven, senior advisor at LVWB Fundraising and asked by Arti's board to help think about fundraising for the benefit of the major renovation. LVWB Fundraising has been helping charities and cultural and social organisations grow and prosper and realise their goals and ambitions by creating and implementing good fundraising plans for more than 20 years. Among other things, Karel was fundraising manager at Artis for 15 years, where he was closely involved in the long-term capital campaign aimed at renewing the zoo. He was also involved as an advisor in a range of major restoration, renovation or expansion projects. From Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen to Castle Duivervoorde, from Palace Het Loo to Madurodam, Museum Catharijneconvent and now Arti et Amicitiae. In his lecture, Karel will talk about his previous projects as well as his ideas for Arti.
Practical note: The drink is an initiative of art-loving member Marco van der Noordaa and is open to all members and their guests. Gather at the bar from 6pm. Lecture ends around 7.30pm. A dining table will be reserved for 10 people for those who want to join the society afterwards.
