    De Kunstenaar Uitgelicht: Agniet Snoep

Agniet Snoep's video installation Life in a Jar will soon be on display above the mantel in Arti's Society. Below the mantel, Renée Hartog will interview the artist Agniet Snoep.

Agniet Snoep's video installation Life in a Jar, created during the corona pandemic, consists of seven sealed jam jars with dreamlike scenes. The installation can be interpreted in different ways: as a reaction to the isolation of that period, but equally as a way of distancing oneself from the world outside. What began as a reflection on forced isolation takes on a broader meaning in light of the current global unrest: the sealed worlds in the jars also seem to respond to an outside world that is becoming increasingly unstable and threatening.
