Since 2022, de Onkruidenier has been taking care of the Shadow Garden in the Amstelpark, where they question their own role in the ecosystem. During this workshop, you will be taken on a journey through the artistic research of Future Gardening. Through sensory exercises, we connect our bodies with the garden and create new forms of kinship.

The artworks 'On the Same Ribbon' presented in project BACKUP.VAVILOV opens a dialogue between gardening sessions in their artist’s garden (Shadow Garden, Amstelpark) with Vavilov’s theory of crop origin centers. The chalk work reflects on ecological memory through speculative taxonomy.
