Creative Grounds 2026: Create Your Own Bouquet with ’t Lievertje Bloemisten

Crazy about flowers! ’t Lievertje Bloemisten is a family-run business with a deep love for flowers. During this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of arranging a bouquet. Then you’ll get to work on your own. You’ll take your own creation home with you.

Tijmen IJsendijk will present his work at Arti and lead the workshop.

Tijmen IJsendijk (1993) is a goldsmith, woodworker, and artist. In his work, he explores the significance of craftsmanship as a cultural practice in which materials, history, and craftsmanship converge in contemporary objects. After graduating from the Unstable Media program at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy (2023), IJsendijk developed his practice as a goldsmith, building on his background in woodworking and his training under master goldsmith Jan de Vries. Tijmen works from his studio in the Vrij Paleis.

For Creative Grounds, Tijmen draws inspiration from Baroque pearl jewelry. The irregular shapes of the pearl serve as the starting point for a new piece of jewelry, in which he explores how a natural, abstract form is imbued with meaning by humans. From Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20, his work will be on display in the wooden cabinet on the ground floor.

Creative Grounds

From Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20, the Amsterdam Museum is hosting the first edition of Creative Grounds. For three days, Amsterdam’s city center will be all about craftsmanship. At various locations, you can watch creators at work, have the opportunity to make something yourself, and learn about the stories, techniques, and traditions behind craftsmanship, handicrafts, and artisanal skills.

From making zines to brewing beer, from glassblowing to goldsmithing, and from pastry making to furniture making: a variety of creative artists will demonstrate what it takes to create with your hands, mind, and imagination.
