Human Water Foundation: Kick-off Exhibition
Kick-off Exhibition During Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As part of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the Human Water Foundation presents its kickoff exhibition: “Human Water – Collaborative Portraits of Women Navigating Mastectomy and Body Sovereignty,” in collaboration with artist Diana Zuican (https://didoaska.com/). The Human Water Foundation promotes awareness, well-being, and quality of life by connecting art and healthcare. Opening: Tuesday, October 13, 6:30–8:30 p.m.
The Human Water Foundation aims to promote awareness, well-being, and quality of life, in particular by strengthening and highlighting the connection between art, culture, and healthcare—including through cultural projects and exhibitions, platforms for the experiences of patients, healthcare providers, and artists, research and education, and collaboration with partner organizations.
Diana Zuican’s portraits explore physicality, vulnerability, and autonomy over one’s own body, giving voice to experiences that often remain invisible. Art transcends language, breaks through taboos, and creates empathy where words fall short.
The Human Water Foundation consists of Xiomara Phyllis Vos, Jolijn Postma, and Dirk Jan Jager.
