As soon as light falls on something, it exists. 
Light is energy. Light can cast shadows, light makes presence visible. Light extinguishes-or gives brightness to any imagination.
Light is space, light is malleable. Artificial light makes the day last longer, time pass faster. Shadow is delay. 
Matter decays. The ravages of time are delayed by keeping out light. 

In 100-year-old views, light, contrary to any reality or natural law, is obtained. 
Lux still changes the view of that world.
