An evening of musical theatre and cabaret
Fancy an evening full of sharp jokes, keen observations and moving songs? Then join us for our very first musical theatre and cabaret night, featuring three unique voices: Ivar van der Walle, Danielle Schel and Violet Werner. Three acts, three styles, each 25 minutes long – together creating a surprising, varied and intimate performance.
The evening consists of two parts: a first set of approximately one hour, followed by an intermission, and a second set of around 30 minutes. In the intimate atmosphere of societeit Arti, there will be time during the break and after the show to enjoy a drink and good conversation.
So whether you enjoy subtle satire, personal storytelling or musical discoveries, this evening has it all.
Don’t miss it and let yourself be surprised by new talent and fresh perspectives!

Ivar van der Walle is a poet and singer. His music is as humorous as it is moving. In 2025, he won both the Audience Award and the Ramses Shaffy Award grant at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival. His debut poetry collection, Aluminiumfolie (“Aluminium Foil”), will be published by Nijgh & Van Ditmar in August.
Daniëlle Schel is a cabaret performer and actress. In 2017, she won the Audience Award at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival. Her debut show PATROON was described by NRC as “a dynamic montage of characters, stand-up routines and songs,” followed by OK, which Theaterkrant called “a moving search for connection in digital times.” Daniëlle is currently working on her third programme, of which she will present a preview this evening.
Violet Werner (1996) studied Industrial Design at TU Delft. Alongside her studies, she has been writing songs all her life. For her, songwriting is a natural way to untangle her inner world—something she did privately for many years, but has only recently begun sharing with others. In 2025, she was a semi-finalist at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival with her performance In Woording.
