BOEKIEWOEKIE & Friends
Boekie Woekie, the independent artists’ bookstore in the popular 9 Straatjes, has to move, the rent became unaffordable. The founders have been committed to Boekie Woekie for almost forty years, based on an alternative idea of what a book in the hands of artists can be.
Time to put this unique collective and their close-knit community into the spotlight. All spaces, including the club, will transform into a landscape of artists’ books, zines, videos, publications, multiples, audio tapes and installations, by contemporary artists, thinkers and writers from all over the world. From March, Boekie Woekie can be found at Geldersekade 39, Amsterdam
