De titel van dit lied heeft mij gevonden en is net als deze tentoonstelling doordrenkt met een verlangen naar God en het aanwezige maar aan het oog verhulde, naar [wee]moed en standvastigheid.

Verhuld omdat de [menselijke] Natuur meer is dan wat zichtbaar voor het oog is, het omvat de innerlijke beelden van de ziel.

Een werk als bron van waaruit eindeloze versies ontstaan, eindeloze herhaling om dichter tot de “juiste” vorm te komen. Ieder van hen op zichzelf staande beelden, verhalen van het Hart vormen samen deze serie. Graag deel ik dit met jullie tijdens deze expositie.

Ik geloof niet in kunst dat niet geboren wordt vanuit de menselijke drang zijn hart te openen. E.Munch

[English] I chose this title from this particular song for this exhibition, or as it happens this title chose me, for the sole reason it evokes a longing for God, human determination and dignity.

[Human]Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye… it also includes the inner pictures of the soul.

One drawing as a source from which others emerge, are born. Endless repetitions of that one image, trying to capture the “right”form. Each of them tales from the Heart. Glad to share these series with you during this exibition.

I do not believe in an art that is not born out of a man’s need to open his heart. E.Munch
