In 2019 viert het legendarische Europees Keramisch Werk Centrum (EKWC) zijn vijftigjarig jubileum. Een wijd scala aan inmiddels zeer gerenommeerde beeldende kunstenaars, architecten en ontwerpers uit de hele wereld bezoeken het centrum om concepten, ideeen en dromen te realiseren in klei, vertrouwend op de aanwezige deskundige technici en de faciliteiten van wereldklasse. Eerst gevestigd in Heusden, daarna in Den Bosch en sinds 2015 in Oisterwijk is het centrum een bastion van, voor en door kunstenaars. Het zet zich in voor de ontwikkeling van de keramiek in beeldende kunst, ontwerp en architectuur. Enerzijds fungeert het als kenniscentrum, anderzijds als kunstenaarsverblijfplaats, in het Engels centre-of-excellence en artists-in-residence. Daarnaast staat Sundaymorning@ekwc, zoals het centrum zich al enige tijd noemt, open voor hoger onderwijs, talentontwikkeling, publiek en bedrijfsleven.

The legendary European Ceramic Work Center (EKWC) celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019. A wide range of now renowned visual artists, architects, and designers from all over the world visit the center to realize concepts, ideas, and dreams in clay, relying on the experts and world-class facilities. Established in Heusden, moved in 1991 to Den Bosch and since 2015 based in Oisterwijk, the center is a bastion of, for and by artists. It is committed to the development of ceramics in the visual arts, design and architecture. It functions as a center of excellence and as an artist-in-residence. In addition Sundaymorning@ekwc is open to higher education, talent development, the public, and the business community.
